Letter to Attorney General: Consultation on Single Regulator

  • January 16, 2024

On January 12, CBABC delivered a letter to the Attorney General highlighting concerns about the lack of transparency surrounding the proposed legislation for a single regulator for lawyers, notaries and paralegals.

“We urge you to share the proposed draft legislation with the entire legal profession and the public, with sufficient time for meaningful and open consultation prior to its consideration by the Legislature ,” CBABC President, Scott Morishita, outlined in the letter.
