Indigenous Lawyers Waiver of Dues Program

CBABC creates environments for Indigenous lawyers and articling students to be welcomed, feel supported and have opportunities for advancement in the legal profession. The Indigenous Lawyers Waiver of Dues Program was created to help advance reconciliation and recognizes the importance and value of having Indigenous lawyers be part of CBABC.

Opening the door wider is a step toward reconciliation. Read more about our Reconciliation Action Plan.

Indigenous lawyers and articling students who are interested in joining CBABC but face financial challenges are invited to apply. On approval, a CBABC representative will reach out to help you set up a member profile and make the most of your membership benefits.

This program is subject to funding available for the current membership year and is open to new and returning members of CBABC. Please apply for the program before joining or renewing your membership, as refunds are not available.

Contact membership@cbabc.org with any questions.
