The Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch, the Law Foundation and the People’s Law School are pleased to announce the transition of Dial-A-Law to the People’s Law School.
The People’s Law School, is a non-profit society created in 1972, dedicated to making the law accessible to everyone. They provide free education and information to help British Columbians effectively deal with the legal problems of everyday life. Increasingly, their focus is on using technology to make information more accessible, to address the needs of people looking to avoid or resolve law-related matters.
Dial-A-Law is a library of legal information prepared by lawyers and offering general information on a variety of topics on law in British Columbia. It is a free service delivered by telephone and online in multiple languages. Dial-A-Law is funded by the Law Foundation of British Columbia and has been operated by CBABC since 1983.
