From the Supreme Court of Canada
OTTAWA, April 12, 2019 — The Supreme Court of Canada today published its first Year in Review, an annual document describing the Court’s activities in the preceding year.
“The Year in Review is meant to be modern, visually-engaging, and accessible to the public,” said the Right Honourable Richard Wagner, Chief Justice of Canada. “It should give Canadians a clear, easy to understand, and concise overview of the Court’s work last year.”
The first Year in Review covers Court activities in the calendar year 2018. A new edition will be published each spring. It includes information about decisions, outreach, and statistical trends. It can be accessed online on the Court’s website.
This publication is part of the Court’s goal to improve communications with the public and support access to justice.
