Sections Committee

Mandate

  • Screening proposed Sections for recommendation to Council or the Executive.
  • Periodically reviewing and recommending Branch Policy on Sections, including Section meeting requirements, Section fees, Section attendance, etc.
  • Monitoring Sections to ensure that Sections are meeting the policies set by the Branch for Section activities.
  • Advising the Awards and Recognition Committee for suitable candidates for such Sections Awards as may be established from time to time (there currently is on the books an award for best Section minutes).
  • The theory is that this Committee would replace the Section Task Force, once this Committee is established.
