Joven Narwal is the founding partner of Narwal Litigation LLP, a downtown Vancouver law firm devoted to complex criminal litigation, securities litigation, professional regulation and specialty civil litigation involving criminal overtones. His skills have been recognized through accolades which include his recognition as a “Litigation Star” and shortlisting for “White Collar Crime / Enforcement Lawyer of the Year” by Benchmark Litigation Canada for the past three consecutive years, his inclusion in Best Lawyers Canada, his ranking by Chambers Global, his being named a “Leading Lawyer to Watch” by Lexpert in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, his induction as a life member of the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation and his being named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (“LCA”), a trial lawyer honorary society. For over 10 years, he has been an adjunct professor at the UBC Allard School of Law where he created and teaches two upper-level seminars: “White Collar Crime” and “Criminal Organizations”. His past and present leadership positions include President of the Vancouver Bar Association, Chair of the CBA-BC Criminal Subsection-Vancouver, member of the judicial council of the Tsawwassen First Nation, governor of the Trial Lawyers Association of BC, director of the South Asian Bar Association of BC and director of the B.C. Wrestling Association. He earned an LL.B. from UBC and an LL.M. from Columbia University in NYC. Upon his call to the bar, he started his career as a Crown prosecutor in Vancouver and is also admitted to practice as defense counsel before the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands.
