Maryam Sodagar is the founder and principal at Sodagar Nielsen Law Group. She was called to the BC bar in 2006 and the Ontario bar in 2007. Since she began her career, she has successfully represented clients in a broad range of complex family and immigration law matters. She has appeared before the BC provincial court, Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court. Maryam’s practice focuses on the complex aspects of family law over multiple jurisdictions. In 2018, she also became licensed as a mediator to better serve her clients. Her immigration practice focuses on economic and entrepreneur immigration including provincial nominees, inter company transferees and skilled immigration. Maryam has a clear and deep understanding of the importance of competent and effective legal counsel and provides the best of that to each and every client.

Kyle has been practicing immigration law since 2000. He has an LL.M. in immigration law and has taught dozens of CLEs on immigration law at a provincial and national level, and a frequent media commentator on immigration issues. Kyle has also presented to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Immigration as an expert witness and has provided expert testimony in civil trials. As a past chair of the CBA's National Immigration Law Section Kyle has volunteered with the CBA for more than 15 years and has been a CBA member for decades. Kyle also participated in the CBABC's mentorship program for years, and helped found a pro bono legal clinic for immigration law in Vancouver. Currently a partner at MKS Immigration Lawyers in Vancouver/Victoria, Kyle has also practiced with other leading firms in BC and Ontario. He has been consistently ranked as one of Canada's top immigration lawyers by "Best Lawyers" and other rankings. But what he takes the most pride in is supporting the new generation of immigration lawyers to be better than himself.

Andrew was called to the bar in May 1978 and has been a member of the Immigration Section since then. Andrew served as Member of Immigration Appeal Board and Assistant Deputy Chair of Immigration Appeal Division, Immigration and Refugee Board. Andrew is Partner of Direction Legal LLP with preferred area of practice Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Law and received a Public Service Award as member of a team that developed an Alternative Dispute Model for IRB. Andrew prides himself on his contributions to Legal Aid and Access to Justice.
