POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Communications, the Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating email and social media campaigns, reporting on campaign analytics, and copywriting for the promotion of membership, professional development programs and other services. The role provides hands-on digital marketing support in the delivery of CBABC’s value proposition.

This individual combines creative communication skills and technical abilities to support CBABC marketing and communication initiatives. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are highly valued. This role is ideally suited for a collaborative team player who is eager to learn and contribute to the success of CBABC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with various departments to develop and execute targeted email campaigns that support membership goals. This includes planning and coordinating content, developing and testing emails, scheduling delivery and analyzing reports.
  • Support the content planning and delivery of CBABC’s bi-weekly Professional Development newsletter in collaboration with team members.
  • Assist in writing and proofreading copy for communications, marketing, and member retention and recruitment. This could take the form of marketing collateral, web content, digital ads, emails, social media posts, media material and more.
  • Help with drafting speeches for the CEO, the President and other Board members.
  • Support and grow the Branch’s social media presence and work closely with the Graphics & Digital Designer and the Communications Specialist to plan and develop engaging content.
  • Manage the social media calendar, write social posts and coordinate scheduling.
  • Help build online community with engaging content, monitoring and responding to comments.
  • Generate and analyze reporting from social media, web and email analytics to evaluate and monitor campaign effectiveness.
  • Update the website content through content management system, applying best practices and brand standards.
  • Provide back-up support to other members of the Communications and Marketing team during vacations and peak periods.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 - 3 years of work experience in digital marketing and communications
  • Post-secondary education and training in communications, marketing or other relevant discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to think critically about content, ensuring it meets brand guidelines and conveys messaging goals
  • Strong ability to anticipate project needs, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Experience with social media platforms and social media management tools
  • Familiarity with email marketing software (e.g Higher Logic) and web content management systems (e.g. Kentico) is an asset 
  • Some experience with HTML and CSS would be beneficial 
  • Personable, professional, tactful and diplomatic; can be trusted to positively represent the CBABC and its reputation in every interaction

SALARY RANGE: $47,000 - $57,000
