Are you passionate about your practice area? Do you want to shape the profession by creating exciting professional development and networking sessions? Would you like to take a leading role in law and policy reform? Do you want to engage with lawyers who share your lived experience and advocate for issues that matter to you?
Volunteer as a Section Executive and make the most of a unique opportunity to build your profile, expand your network, and stay ahead in the latest developments relevant to your practice, interest or identity.
Section Executives plan professional development meetings and networking activities for CBABC members. They are the main source of inspiration and organization behind each Section.
You can volunteer in Section Executive positions such as Member at Large, Law & Policy Liaison, Vice-Chair or Chair. We’re currently recruiting volunteer Section Executives for the coming term, which runs from September 1 to August 31.
Volunteer Requirements
Ideal candidates are CBABC members with a history of attending Section meetings. Candidates must have the time and knowledge of the subject matter to work with other Executive Officers and CBABC staff to plan, coordinate, and execute 3-5 Section meetings or networking activities per term.
The time commitment required for Section Executive Officers may vary depending on the Section, number of activities planned and type of activity. For more information on time commitment, please contact sections@cbabc.org.
