Position Highlights
We are currently seeking one full time articling student to join our team. This position is full time for a term of twelve months, during which you will attend the Professional Legal Training Course for ten weeks. You will have the opportunity to work with experienced lawyers on a variety of legal matters, as well as work independently on files assigned to you.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review legal documents including:
- i. contracts and purchase sale agreements
- ii. loan and financing documents
- iii. security agreements
- iv. real estate documents
- Assist in preparing closing documents for corporate and real estate transactions
- Participate in corporate transactions (asset and share purchases)
- Attend client meetings and assist lawyers in consultations
- Prepare and file documents with regulatory bodies (BC Corporate Registry, Land Title Office)
- Help maintain corporate records (minute books, share ledgers)
- Learn from supervising lawyers through feedback and guidance
Minimum Requirements:
- Law degree from an accredited Canadian law school or NCA Certificate of Qualification
- Eligibility for articling student registration with the Law Society of British Columbia
- Relevant work experience in law

Compensation
Salary: $45,000.00 for 12 months Benefits: Full health and dental benefits, salary paid during 10-week PLTC.
