In July 2010, a new set of Supreme Court Civil Rules came into effect, governing civil proceedings (other than family law cases) in the British Columbia Supreme Court. In January-February of 2014, the CBA BC Branch conducted a survey of its members with respect to the 2010 Supreme Court Civil Rules as a means of measuring how lawyers have found the rules to work over their initial 3½ years. An initial study done at the one year mark was conducted in September-October 2011.
