Synopsis: This seminar focussed on trademark tips and traps that Canadian companies should be aware of as they prepare to do business in China. The seminar included information on trademark enforcement issues in China, as well as an update on the specialized IP courts in China.

Synopsis: Benjamin La Borie of Hakemi & Ridgedale LLP discussed issues related to technology and intellectual property under the Bankruptcy & Insolvency Act and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act as well as receiverships, informal restructuring arrangements, arbitration and standstill agreements, and dealing with lenders.
