The Court of Appeal for British Columbia, as part of its criminal rules reform initiative, is asking court users who engage regularly with its criminal appeal processes to provide feedback.
The reform initiative aims to harmonize the Court’s current criminal rules and Practice Directives, as well as identify areas in criminal appeal processes that need refinement, clarification and modernization.
As CBABC prepares our submission, we invite members to read the Court’s discussion paper, which contains an overview of the structure and content of the Criminal Appeal Rules and Practice Directives, as well as questions for court users.
Submit your feedback to advocacy@cbabc.org by April 4.
