A citizenship ceremony was held at 10:00 am on April 17, 2010 in the Alice Mackay Room at the Vancouver Public Library, 350 West Georgia Street. Keynote speeches were made by The Honourable Judge Ann Dillon of the Citizenship Court of Canada and CBABC Executive Director Caroline Nevin. There was an RCMP honour guard and David Mongar sang the Canadian national anthem "O Canada."
