The Canadian Bar Association British Columbia Branch (CBABC) Women Lawyers Forum (WLF) held an Awards Luncheon on November 17, 2009 in celebration of its seventh year of successfully promoting the stature and influence of women in the legal profession. Former Minister of Finance Carole Taylor, OC spoke on women and leadership.
The CBABC WLF Award of Excellence was presented to Kathryn Berge, QC in recognition of her many distinguished career achievements and outstanding contributions to women in the legal profession as a change agent, leader and mentor.
The Award of Excellence celebrates the accomplishments of a woman who has succeeded in breaking new ground for women in the legal profession in British Columbia. The Award recognizes an exceptional woman who has taken risks, fostered change and ultimately opened doors for women lawyers. In this award we are not only celebrating the woman’s distinguished career achievements, but her outstanding contributions to women in the legal profession as a change agent, leader and mentor.
