VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Mark all the volunteer opportunities that interest you. Please note that this does not automatically enroll you in any of these activities – it is only an expression of interest. We will send you more information as enrollment periods and/or specific opportunities become available

 SECTION EXECUTIVE - Work with fellow Section executive to plan, coordinate and execute a minimum of 3-4 Section events per year. Nominations: April 1 to May 31. Term: September 1 to August 31.
 COMMITTEE MEMBER - Develop policies and law reform, respond to regulatory and government initiatives, lobby for issues important to our members. Application period typically starts in April. Terms range from 1-3 years.
LAWYERS HELPING LAWYERS (continuous enrolment)
 PRACTICE ADVISORY PANELS - Senior practitioners (over ten years of experience) assist other lawyers seeking advice on a particular aspect of the law.
 DISCIPLINE DEFENCE COUNSEL ROSTER – Lawyers counsel other members of the Bar who are before the Discipline Committee of the Law Society of BC.
 MEMBER DISPUTE RESOLUTION SERVICE - Experienced ADR lawyers deliver education, advice, conflict and dispute resolution services to BC lawyers with issues not required to be reported to the Law Society of BC.

 TEACHING - Contribute as an in-person or webinar panelist in our professional development programs.
