The Attorney General has invited CBABC to recommend candidates to the BC Supreme Court Civil and Family Rules Committee (the “Rules Committee”) for appointment by the Attorney for a term of up to five years.
The Committee's Terms of Reference sets out the responsibilities of the Rules Committee, the core of which is to provide advice and recommendations to the Attorney General regarding changes to the Civil and Family Rules to achieve access to justice, efficiency, proportionality and early resolution. Candidates will be considered for their experience with the Civil and/or Family Rules as well as their experience with front-line practice in both urban and non-urban areas throughout British Columbia.
