This standing committee:
- works to improve and promote access to justice for all British Columbians regardless of wealth;
- works to identify gaps and barriers in our justice system, and to identify solutions to reduce and eliminate gaps and barriers
- stresses government responsibility for a sufficiently publicly funded legal aid system as an essential foundation, promotes pro bono services in the legal profession, and supports innovative legal system reform and delivery options for greater access to legal services;
- approaches policy development using the Access to Justice Triple Aim approach
