On September 19, CBABC delivered a submission to the Law Society of BC in response to the regulator’s review of the articling system.
Our 10 recommendations address challenges articled students in B.C. face, such as inconsistent and insufficient compensation and excessive or unregulated work hours. We also emphasize the need to address discrimination and bullying, as well as the systemic barriers for women, Indigenous, Black and racialized students, and others.
This advocacy is based on surveys conducted between 2019 and 2024.
