Our Sections rely on the expertise and contributions of volunteers. Section Executives contribute time, knowledge, leadership and inspiration while gaining experience and opportunities to make a difference.

Join a Section Executive

As a group, Section Executives typically plan and run 3-6 activities annually for their Section, including topic suggestions, speaker outreach, coordination with CBABC staff and more. Roles include:

  • Section Chair, Co-Chair or Vice Chair
  • Law and Policy Liaison
  • Members at Large

Executive terms run from September 1 to August 31 each year. Section Executives must have an active CBABC membership.  

Application Form

CBABC calls for volunteers in April, but vacancies occur throughout the year so feel free to apply anytime.

If you have held this position for 2 years, please indicate other positions you would be open to.

All positions on the Section Executive will have an open Call for Volunteers. If you wish to remain on the Section Executive, you will be listed as an incumbent.

Acknowledgement of Understanding*
  1. I will be a member of the CBA and enroll in this Section for the period of Sep 1, 2025 to Aug 31, 2026.
  2. I have read and understand the CBABC Sections Policy and the responsibilities outlined in the Duties of the Section Executive.
  3. I will participate in a Section Executive orientation session with the CBABC Sections staff before the start of my Section term.
  4. I will work with the Section Executive and CBABC Sections staff to prepare an Annual Section Activity Plan for the Section before Aug 31, 2025.
